I bought a power supply that THEY said was the replacement for my old one. When I got it none of the connectors for the motherboard were correct. They said it was MY fault that I ordered the wrong part. I should have known that the connectors would not work because they provided a side view (which did look correct) and they listed my computer as one the power supply would work in AND it was their cross reference tool that directed me to that particular power supply to begin with.

They were willing to take it back but they were going to charge me a restocking fee PLUS I would loose my original shipping fee AND have to pay to ship the power supply back to them. On top of that I would only get a portion of my money back IF they didn't find something wrong with the power supply. I can't even check if this thing works so I have NO idea if I would even get ANY money back after I return it to them.

Well I think you should let them know that the sticker was already like that when you received it, and be adamant about it. If they're a good vendor then they should believe you and accept the return. They'll probably charge you some restocking fee but at least you'll get most of the money back.As for the computer itself- you're saying that you got power to the motherboard but nothing comes up on the monitor. Does it make any beeps? If so how many beeps? Also try reseating the RAM and see if that helps.

Ok, my power supply go's out on my computer. I order a replacement through affordablesurplus.com because computer heaven was going to charge me like 4 times the price. The package came in 3 days, I open it and the first thing I notice is the warranty sticker looks like it has already been broken and stuck back together. I then check out all of the connectors and notice the motherbvoard one is missing 3 wires. On my old supply, every slot had a wire. I figured I would hook it up anyway to see if it would work since I have been with out my cpu for 2 weeks. I hook everything up, plug it in and turn on my computer. It had power, but my monitor would not turn on.. I couldn't get it to turn on for the life of me so I figure it has to do with the motherboard connector. So I call affordablesurplus.com and they say I need to get a return number.. On the terms and conditions it says if the warranty sticker has been tampered with, then returns and exchanges are void. What should I do?
