Large Downloads

Yeah this sounds kind of strange- it could be that it's a problem with the Kazaa network. Have you tried emule? Go to google and type in emule. It's free and open source with no ads, etc. The best thing about it is that you can still download from people even if they don't have the entire file. E.g. if you're trying to download a 200 meg file you can start downloading it from people who only have 50 megs or even just 10 megs of it.

David

after recently formatting my pc i installed windows xp pro with kazaa v2.1. im running Athlon XP2000+ 256MB DDRRAM if that helps.

Anyway, i started trying to download some files using kazaa and everything was fine. Until, i tried to download a large file - 404MB to b precise. The problem is that it seems when i try to download a large file my kazaa stops responding for about 30 secs, then gives me 5 secs to do sumthing, then freezes again etc and its really beggining to annoy me as in this time the download also halts.

I then tried using an earlier version of kazaa and it does the same thing, wot cud the problem possibly b? It doesnt do that when i download smaller files

i also downloded the compatibility update from the microsoft site which is supposed to fix any problems with kazaa, but it seems to have had no effect

thanx in advance
