Ooops- sorry for not replying sooner- didn't notice the post until now. Well if they are both DDR then it should be no problem. The normal SDRAM memory (e.g. PC133) won't fit in DDR slots, and vice versa. DDR memory modules have one notch at the bottom while the non DDR variety have 2 notches. So yeah they should work together, and it shouldn't hurt to try either in this case.
PC-2100 AND DDR 266
CoolComputing Forum » Hardware QuestionsFirst I would like to say that it is too bad that some folks have nothing better to do than try to mess up other people's good work like the very helpful service you provide David.
I have not used ddr memory much. My question is that I have two sticks of pc-2100 memory. One is a Infineon hys64d3200gu-7-b
and labled as 133 mhz. The other is a Kingston value ram kvr266x64c25/256.
Are these both the same? The both are pc-2100 right. Why does infineon say 133mhz and kingston says 266?
Are these not compatible? Can I use these two sticks together? What do you think?
Thanks for any help. I do not seem to find a answer on the web.
