It looks legit, but it seems that some people have problem uninstalling it. Try using System Restore to get rid of it, and then use something like VLC instead which is a great video player.

What is hotllama? Is it a safe media player? My friend has it installed on his computer and he is having alot of trouble with his system. My friend does not even know where hotllama came from. Is it something that self installs with certain dvd movies? Is this malware?
