5 beeps on start up

Finally got back into it this weekend and unpluged the mb speaker, still 5 beeps on startup. So bios okay & mb okay. Unplug fan controler and NO BEEPS. Reset controler and no more beeps on startup. Strange how things change with out changing them by hand. Must be some software upgrade that caused a conflict....cokeman54

That's really odd- I mean if the computer boots up into Windows then it should be okay, esp since you're saying the CPU temp is fine. Is there a newer version of the BIOS for your motherboard you can try to upgrade to?
