You are correct about DDR being faster, but it is not noticable under average use. Using
the most RAM you can will give you the best results. With the cost of RAM being as low as
it is shop around and use as much as your budget and MB will allow......... ![]()
RAM question
CoolComputing Forum » Hardware QuestionsI have an 800 MHZ processor and 4 Ram slots (2 are SDRAM and 2 are DDRAM ). I have two sets of RAM sticks to pick from but I don't know which ones to get. I can get 2 (128 DDRAM sticks) or 1 (256 SDRAM stick) and 1 (128 SDRAM stick). Which basically means that I use in total, 256 DDRAM or 384 SDRAM. I know DDRAM is faster but I like the fact of having 384 megs of RAM. Does anyone have any good arguements as to which one I should go with?
