New motherboard

I too have an a7n8x mb and have not had any problems with games. Did a little research on your issue and it seams there is a lot of crashes using ati video cards. What is your card and you must also turn off the onboard sound in bios if using a sound card. It's possible- try taking out your sound card and see if that helps. If the sound is indeed the culprit, then put it back in and see if you can get the newest drivers for it. Now when you say "crashes" do you mean the entire system freezes or just the game? If so does it have an error message?

Just got a new a7n8x-8 mobo with Athlon XP 2600+ and 512 Mb of kingston DDR400

My pc crashes when I play games, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my bios settings or it could be the pci sound card I installed. Could a sound card conflict cause this? Could someone please help me.
