start up problem

You can get rid of it by running "msconfig" (got to Start, Run, and type in msconfig). Then go to the startup tab and uncheck that apicu.exe. You can try running in Safe Mode to do this because safe mode won't load anything from the startup. Just hold down F8 before XP starts to boot, then pick Safe Mode. Then run msconfig. I have a feeling that maybe you have a virus/trojan horse, and/or spyware/adware software that've infected your machine. So make sure your antivirus is working and updated and do a complete scan of your hard drive. To get rid of spyware get spy-bot and adaware (go to google to find those)- they are free and work great.

I am running windows XP and whenever I turn on or restart the computer it takes like 3 - 5 minutes to fully get ready to go. It normally takes 1 or 2 and I get asked to send an error report because windows had to close down "apicu.exe". What is that and how can I get rid of it or fix it?
