windows xp sp3

Yup as far as I know you have to go to SP2 first even with the SP3 standalone update.

When I go to windows update I am offered to install windows xp sp2 and sp3 is not offered as a update. After sp2 is installed sp3 is then offered on the windows update web site. My question is if I download seperately the windows xp sp3 package, can I install it without xp sp2 being installed. Sometimes you have to install things in order. Thanks for any help.
