cleanmem memory cleaner
CoolComputing Forum » Microsoft/Windows Software QuestionsIt is kind of hard to tell David.
I help people out with computer issues and sometimes give computers to them if they can not afford one. Some of the systems have low memory to begin with and it seems that it does in fact help a bit. I never charge anyone for help and I end up buying parts sometimes.
There is however a few older chipsets that do not like cleanmem and will bsod or reboot when trying to use the program.
Thanks for your input David.
I appreciate all of your help. ![]()
Kimo- I think it's probably OK to use since it seems to be a legit program. My question is does it actually help with your system speed or memory usage? I've heard about these type of memory defragger type programs out there but nothing really seemed to make any difference from what I've read.
I have used cleanmem for a few months now. I downloaded it from download.com
Tonight I tried to install cleanmem on a fresh install of xp using avg anti-virus and avg
stops the install, claiming cleanmem is some kind of malware or something. What do
you think? Is there another software choice for a ram cleaner? ![]()
