Recently I needed to port out a line from Red Pocket Mobile to Speedtalk. I went online into my Red Pocket account, and saw that the account number was listed there, under the Current Plan description and above the Product & Plan Code.

Red Pocket Mobile Issue: "Need Initial Refill"

Red Pocket Mobile offers some really attractive deals for light phone plan users. So when I discovered them in August earlier this year, I signed up my mom's phone (a Sprint Motorola Moto-e 2nd Gen) with the 100 voice minutes/100 texts/500 MB LTE plan. This was purchased via eBay for just $60.

There was a hiccup during activation- even though I provided the activation code along with the IMEI & ICCID, it would not work. We had to call customer service where the rep had to manually re-apply the code. But after that it seemed....

Transferring Away from TPO Wireless - Getting the Account Number

So I've had service with TPO Wireless, aka the People's Operator, for nearly a year. On the 14th of last month I decided to switch out. This was mainly because after my 4G LTE data is used up, there is zero data usable, not even at reduced 2G speed. But I found out it too late to cancel as they had already billed me for the next month. For some reason my TPO billing date changed from the 17th to 12th for the last few statements. Very annoying, but whatever- so I....

Articles: Solution for T-Mobile "You have switch your SIM Card" Error for Tablet Free 200 MB Plan

I had T-Mobile POST-paid phone service which I recently switched from. I had an iPad Mini 4G LTE attached to the account, and when I called to cancel the phone service, the rep told me that I would be charged $10 a month if I wanted to keep the tablet data plan going. I asked how come because it was supposed to be a free 200 MB for life plan, but she said that I was getting a $10/month discount to offset the cost. So I told her to cancel it, but she offered to convert it....

Prevent International Data Charges on T-Mobile Simple Choice Plan

T-Mobile's Simple Choice Plan is a terrific option for those who travel out of the country a lot on business or vacation. For instance if you go on cruises you will find it quite indepensible to have access to Google or Apple Maps while roaming around exploring a foreign port city, trying to access your pre-planned points of interest. Also the fact that T-Mobile recently added twenty additional countries to this plan. One new one I've noticed include Croatia which was not there last year.

For the past two years,....

Tomato/EasyTomato Router High CPU When Downloading 100Mbps+ Fix

I have an ASUS NT-16 Router which has EasyTomato 0.8 (the newest version) installed. EasyTomato is pretty much an easier-to-use, enhanced version of the popular Tomato/TomatoUSB router firmware. It works well for the most part, but I have noticed that if there are high-speed broadband downloads that are near or exceeding 100 Mbps for several minutes, I could no longer browse the web. It has been an annoyance for months so I decided to really investigate and then hopefully find a solution.

I noticed that firstly the error message I get when....

Belkin N750, N600, N450 Router Disable 5 GHz Wireless

Posted by: david on Saturday/October 08/2011 - 10:50 PM

I recently bought the Belkin N750 Router (via Amazon) because it had terrific benchmarks when it came to range on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. But since I don't use the 5 GHz radio (which had short range anyways) I thought I'd turn it off. I also plan on using the HP Wireless TV Connect which uses WHDI utilizing the 5 GHz spectrum, so I didn't want any interference with it either. But there didn't seem to be an obvious way to deactivate the 5GHz 802.11n functionality on the N750. I poked around....

The Zyxel VFG6005N Wireless N Gateway

Zyxel has introduced a pair of network gateways with built-in VPN and firewall capabilities in the VFG6005 and the VFG6005N. 1)5 Gigabit ports including one for the WAN which means capability to support FiOS broadband.

2)Integrated VPN support (both PPTP plus IPSec)

Trendnet TEW-680MB 450MBps Wireless Bridge Unveiled

Following yesterday's news regarding the availability of the dual-band 450Mbps TEW-692GR, Trendnet today launched the Trendnet TEW-680MB 450 MBps bridge as a perfect compliment. Sporting a slick, black chasis with curved edges, the new TEW-680MB also can do 450 MBps on both 5 and 2.4 GHz frequencies. Unfortunately it probably only also comes with a single ethernet port (like its predecessor the TEW-687GA) . It would be nice to have at least a pair of lan ports or even 3 or more to connect the various devices one's modern living/media room setup such....

What's special about the TEW-692GR is that it can achieve the same bandwidth of 450 MBps on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz spectrums while most of today's products can only do 450 Mbps on the 2.4. Armed with 3 antennas, the dual band router aims be the wireless medium of choice for you to transmit HD video without stutter, especially with the inclusion of video/audio QOS prioritization. For those of you who already have a router, you can disable....

TRENDnet TPL-402E2K 500 MBps Powerline AV Kit Unveiled

TRENDnet today powered up (no pun intended) the Trendnet TPL-402E2K 500Mbps Powerline AV adapter kit with two adapters. Our experience with Powerline AV devices showed that the the actual speed never approached the advertised Mbps- for instance 200 MBps was more like 20 MBps at best. But if 500 Mbps by the TPL-402E2K can deliver a consistent 40 to 60 Mbs then it will be a very solid product indeed for purposes such as HD streaming from one room to another.

Some other nice features of the TPL-402E2K include up 70% less power usage....
